A Walk Through our Yard

This page shows you a typical day at Heritage Restorations.

Once a barn has been carefully dismantled, we load it on a truck and bring it to our main restorations shop in central Texas. Here we completely clean, repair and restore our barns in preparation for their relocation.
Once unloaded, all the timbers and materials are inventoried, denailed, and carefully washed.
Yeshiah repairing a tenon. Kerry and his son repairing a wall post.
Shaping a new mortise. Aaron building custom doors from antique barn siding.
Robert boring a joint for oak trunnels. Kerry repairing a brace mortise.
Here Kerry is using our sawmill to cut a repair part for a post. Cutting an antique timber for a repair.
Laying out the timbers for final fitting.
Matt, Robert and David final fitting the side wall of a barn.

Restored barns stacked and ready for fumigation.

Antique materials used to make flooring, timber trusses and other custom millwork.

If you are in the central Texas area, please consider a visit to our showroom and mill shop. We'd be glad to show you around!
